"The Ten Commandments: God’s Moral Law for all Generations"
Ex:12,1-14 read, Ex:20,1-17, The Ten Comm.
Contrary to what most preachers say about keeping the law or God’s
commandments, there are normal people like you and I that have kept and
are keeping the Ten Commandments today. It takes people that will give
themselves wholly to the Lord with a made-up mind to obey and do what
God has commanded us.
You can find these people from Genesis to Revelations, in History books
Encyclopedias and other places. For example, during the time of the
Crusades the Spanish Inquisition, many of the Israelite's that were true
to God and his word were abused, murdered and tortured because they were keepers of
God’s law the Ten Commandments,
Even today the scripture lets us know God has never left himself without a
witness. (Acts-14, 17) As long as this earth is standing God will have
someone that will stand for the truth and keep his law.
Let me start by saying I am one of them that keep the law and stand for
the truth. There are certain Grace teachers who have told their
congregations and the world via the TV and internet that no man today is
keeping the Ten Commandments. Well, I will declare those words untrue, and much of what they are teaching on the Law and Grace is a carnal vision void of God's understanding.
Based on what they are teaching about the law and grace lets me know
these preachers have little or no knowledge about God’s Law. They are
confusing the animal sacrificial law with the Royal Law the Ten Commandments. The animal sacrificial law was satisfied or fulfilled at the death of Jesus and no longer exist.
.
The Ten Commandments are the standard for all men to live by, but most
people that read the bible don’t realize or agree that Jesus was and is the God of the
Old and New Testament who gave Moses the Ten Commandments to give to Israel first.
What is the Covenant?
Ten Commandments are the covenant, I call it the glue that keep man connected to God, if you don't keep them, you don't know God.
God said I hear the cry of Israel and now he is ready to bring them out of Egypt so he sent Moses and Aaron to do his business. Ex:6-5
Ex:19,4-6.10-11
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
11And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
Ex:20,1-17 God gave Israel the 10 Commandments
Ex:23,20-22 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. Who do you think this angel was, the holy spirit
Is:63-10 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
Heb:1,13-14 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Jn:16,13-15
Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Ex:24,7-11 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
Deut:4,1-2,13 1
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
The commandments are forever:Ps,111,7-8
The works of his hands are verity (Irrefutable) and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
Ps:119-197-98 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
98Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
99In (Jer, 31 31-34) (Heb 8-8, 10) The Lord talks about the new covenant or law he made with the same people Israel and the house of Judah.
Only this time his law is not written in stone but on the heart and in the mind, much different from how he dealt with our fathers. God took his law to a spiritual level.
It didn’t say he changed none of the commandments or did away with any of them but we do see he used a different method, he took away the stony heart and gave a heart of flesh, then he put his law in their inward parts, in their hearts and in their minds to obey them.
God was so adamant about Israel keeping the Ten Commandments he told Moses to come up a second time after Moses saw the abominations of Israel and cast the commandments to the ground. So Moses went up a second time and God wrote them over again. (Ex 34, 1-2) First time (Ex 24-12) (Ex 32, 15-16). Second time.
Three ex: why you should keep the commandments
1Jn:2,3-4 To know Jesus you must keep the commandments
Jn:14:15, Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments
Matt:19:16, If you want eternal life, keep the commandments
Jesus humbled himself and became a man born of a woman under the law to bear the sins of mankind to bring man into fellowship with God through repentance, and get baptized in the name of Jesus, come under his blood and be welcomed into the body of Christ.
Jesus after being three days and three nights in the grave, God raised him from the dead and he destroyed the works of Satan who had the power of death, and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (Col 2-15)
Spoiled principalities and powers meaning, Jesus stripped, decimated, he took away all the power Satan possessed over the man that believe in him. (Lk:10-19)
In (1Corth.10, 1-10) it tells us how our fathers were baptized under
Moses in the cloud and in the sea, verse-2 Then it says how they all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them and that Rock was Christ. (Deut 32, 1-4) In the Old Testament, hmm mm.
In verse-9 it says neither let us tempt Christ: as some of them also tempted and were destroyed of serpents. Christ was there and Israel tempted him according to the scripture in verse.
Jesus said in (Matt: 5, 17-19) Think not that I am come to destroy
the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle
shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever
therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven, that’s bad news, the lake of fire.
Verse 20 he said our righteousness should exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees and Scribes, these are carnal men influenced by Satan, or we will in no wise enter into the Kingdom of heaven. With out Christ in your life, you are a dead man walking waiting to be put in the grave and go to the fire except you repent.
Of ourselves, our righteousness is as filthy rags,
but when we confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior and began to walk in the
the word we became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Listen to what Paul said: Acts:28-23, Paul preached to them concerning Jesus out of the law of Moses and the prophets, there was no new testament.
The Ten Commandments are the law of love
- (Rom 13, 8-10) Owe no man anything but to love one another.
- (Matt: 22, 37-40) Love the Lord thy God and thy neighbor as thyself
Keep the Law or burn in the fire:
(Rev: 22-14) You don’t want to be the dogs that are without or any of the others mentioned in this verse, none of them made it in the Father's Kingdom.
Jesus living the law was a demonstration of humility and obedience to
the Father, showing man that he can live and obey the law through
Christ who is our perfect example to follow. (Ps: 37-37).
Paul tells us about it in (Gal: 2 19-20) in v-19 Paul says that through the law, the Ten Commandments, I am dead to the law of sin and death. V-20 I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I,
but Christ live in me, and now I can live the law through Christ who live in me, and the life I live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
Many people in the body of Christ find it hard to transition from Sinner to Christian. (2Corth:5-17) In Christ you are a new creature, that old man should be dead. You have to make up your mind that you want what Jesus has to offer and has done for those that receive him or the word won't work on your behave.
Phil:312-14
13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Walking by faith is a process, a learning way: you don't get it all at once.
Rom:7,7-8,12,14, What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Ecc:12,1-2,7 Remember
now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not,
nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in
them;
2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Job:34,14-15
13 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
(Ex: 20-1) Here it shows us the Lord was the first to give the Ten Commandments to Israel.
(Deut: 4-13) God describe the covenant: The Ten Commandments
(Ex: 24, 1-8) Israel bound to the covenant by the blood
(Ex19-8) The people answered together, and said, all that the Lord hath spoken we will do. With the covenant come blessing and curses.
Deut 28chap: The first 14 verses pronounce blessings, 15 to 67 are the curses, Israel chose the curses.
Ps: 19-7 declares the law to be perfect….
Rom: 7-12 the law is Holy…. V-14 the law is spiritual; you can’t do away with it.
Prov: 28-9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
Jer: 11, 1-11) v-3 Jeremiah 11:3 and say thou unto them thus saith the Lord God of Israel; cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant
Jer 31: 31-34 God said I will make a new covenant with the house of Jacob and with the house of Israel, the same people he made the first covenant with. Not according to how he dealt with our fathers. They didn’t obey, so God disregarded them.
This time God will take the same laws but use a different method. He
said I will put my laws in their inward parts in their minds and write them into their
hearts.
1st Corinthians 11: 23-26 Jesus declares the new covenant in my blood, sealing the law the Ten Commandments. Now every believer in Christ is bound to the law to obey and do it.
Hebrews 9: 13-15 the scripture shows us the power of the sacrifice of Jesus and the shedding of his blood.
Hebrews 12: 24 Paul was edifying the church and admonishing them to hear Jesus whose blood of sprinkling spoke louder than Abels and of better things.
Then in verse 25, he gave this example; if men don’t
escape the authorities that set the law on earth much more shall you not
escape if we turn away from hearing him that speaketh from Heaven to
keep the commandments. Proverbs 28: 9
Psalms 78: 1-7 From Genesis to Revelation God declares his law.
Is 29: 15,16 The Lord said woe unto you that think you can do and say
what you want to his people in the darkness and get away with it
holding your own private counsel to do evil and mischief.
V-16 for your turning of things upside down is in offense to me
saying you don’t have to keep the law, you are under grace.
Bottom line, God lets us know he is going to turn it around.
For God knows man has a set and an appointed time before destruction
break out in the world, the great tribulation, and those that are not prepared or don’t know what to do or where to go will be in trouble.
And you that are keeping the devil's holidays such as Christmas, St. Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween,
and all the other pagan day's Satan has deceived so called Christians into celebrating. Because of these offenses God gave mankind a warning.
Is:34,1-3 Come
near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear,
and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of
it.
2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
3 Their
slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of
their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
Romans 8: 6-8 God has made clear his enemy in the word. Those that preach another Gospel when there is no other. These men are preaching from a carnal mind which is influenced by Satan, whose will is against the law of God and is not subject to his law.
Gal 1: 6-9 Paul said how is that you are so easily moved from him that called you into the grace of Christ. If we are an angel from heaven preach any other Gospel than that we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 2nd Peter 2: 4-9
We need to repent. Acts 2:38 Romans 3:23-25
So it should be one's obligation to walk in love as Christ also have
loved us and have given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to
God for a sweet-smelling savor. Ephe 5:2
And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake has forgiven us.
Romans 13: 8-10 Love is the fulfilling of the law. Do any of the fruits of the Spirit abide in you?
The Ten Commandments are for all mankind to live by.
Many Christians today confess they are the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promises, yet they don't keep the commandments.
Gen
25: 5 Abraham kept the law and so did millions of others; if you be the
seed of Abraham you are commanded to keep the law.
Some things we should know about the commandments
0 God spoke them first to Israel: Ex 20,1-17

6, To abide in his love you must keep his commandments Jn:15-10
7, To get eternal life you must keep his commandments Matt:19,16-19
8,1Jn:5-3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments.......
9, Rom;13,8-10 The law of love is keeping his commandments
10, To abide in Grace you must keep his commandments Rom;5,1-2

12, Rom:7,10-ordained to life, 12, holy, just and good
God Bless You
